Liberty Lake

August 2017
Brother Platt in our ward is a big scouter.  He has been scouting since he was in scouts.  He would come up to a place called "Liberty Lake" from the time he was in scouts.  He started calling it liberty lake because his ward was the Liberty ward.  He is getting older and wanted to take one last hike up to the lake to show his kids, grandkids and ward friends. He said that there is a secret to know about Liberty Lake but in order to know the secret, you had to be in the water of the lake!  We decided to go with the group to find out the secret!  Brother Platt and his wife have been Kale's Sunday school teachers.  They are so thoughtful and kind him.  It was a beautiful day.  The weather was perfect for the hike.  We did get lost along the way because there are so many lakes and they are not all named.  Once we got to the lake, we all ate lunch then Brother Platt's son surprised him by telling him he got it officially names Liberty Lake and he got to put a sign up on a tree to mark the name.  We then all got into the water and found out the secret!
