Salt Lake Marathon

In April, I ran my first Half Marathon. It was so great. The run was so much easier than I had anticipated. I did it in exactly 2 hours but I like to say just under 2 hours because I had to stop and use the bathroom! I did it with my good friend Emily. After the half marathon, Kale ran the kids race. It was the length of the Gateway mall. I got to run with Kale and it was so much fun!

St Patricks Day

We woke up on St Patricks day to little mini leprechaun foot prints going across the walls! The kids got a kick out of it. We also had a green breakfast of green milk and green pancakes!

Board Games

The kids are at that age where it is fun to now pull out the board games. It is fun to play them with them and the kids love to play!

Time Out

Kale, Ellie and I were trying to fold laundry and each thing we folded, Max came up and unfolded it and threw it so he was put in time-out! He looked so cute though with his feet up that I had to take his picture!!

Ragnar 2011

Nate and I ran Ragnar this year. It is a relay race with a team of 12 running night and day from Logan to Park City. It was really fun. Nate decided he wanted to run it after the teams were set but someone dropped out so he go to do it. We weren't in the same "van" but still saw each other. We had 2 teams so we each had someone to run with so we weren't running in the middle of the night alone. It was a great time!

Pineview Reservoir

We went with some good friends to Pineview Reservoir. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast playing in the sand and water. We took a canoe and some of the kids went out with the dads to fish. Nate fished a little off the side of the lake also. It was a really fun day!

Bugs

I walked outside to check on the kids and this is what I saw!! They were looking at the ants walking in the crack of our driveway!

St George

The spring in the city was so cold that we took a trip down to St George. The weather was fantastic. We stayed at my Aunts house. She lives on a golf course and has a pool. Our room walked out to the pool so we could swim whenever we wanted. We went hiking a few days and the kids loved the red sand! We had a blast. It was hard coming back to the cold weather!

Dance performance

Ellie took a creative dance class this year. At the end of the session, she put on a performance for the parents of all the dances they did throughout the class. She has had this same teacher the last few years and she is so wonderful!

We went to our cousins birthday which was at the Grantsville fire station. It was so cool because we got to climb all over the fire trucks!

It is really fun to go to the Zoo in the middle of winter because the animals are more active and awake!! We went with our friends and spent most of the time in the gorilla house because they were right next to the windows. It was as if they were playing with the kids!

The church has a new exhibit at the Church History Museum. It focuses on Latin heritage within the church. The children's interactive part, stars with some Book of Mormon stories. There is a ship like Nephi's ship the kids can play in then it goes to modern-day stories of Latin America. There is even a part where you can dress up in dancing close and learn to dance the Salsa! The kids had so much fun....we could have stayed there all day!
