Float preview

A few days before the big annual 24th of July parade, they had a preview that you can come and see all the floats. It is fun to walk around and see them close up.

Bubble Swimming

Several times this summer we put bubbles in the swimming pool. The kids had a blast filling the pool up and watching the bubbles grow!

Sidewalk Chalk

We had a lot of fun drawing with sidewalk chalk.

Something super exciting that happened this summer is; Kale learned to ride a bike!! It was so fun to watch and cheer him on! Nathan ran along side him holding his bike then slowly let go as Kale started riding himself!
The kids had a good time riding their bikes together and Max mastered riding his scooter. He is as fast and can keep up with the other two on that thing!

Homemade Ice Cream

We made ice cream in a bag on a hot summer day! You put milk and sugar in a bag then in another bag put ice and salt then roll it, throw it or shake it around and it makes ice cream!

Summer Fun!

We went to the outdoor pool almost every week and it was so much fun! Ellie was a crackup at a couple of our visits!

Unbirthday party!

Carey and his family moved this summer from Arizona to Virginia. They stopped in Utah for a few days and while here, Grandma had a big birthday party for all the kids since she isn't with them all on their birthdays. She took all the kids to the dollar store and had them pick out a present for someone whose name they drew then we went to the park and had cake, played party games, made party hats, and opened presents. The kids had a blast!

Zoo

When school got out for the summer we celebrated by going to the Zoo with our good friends. It was a good start to the summer of fun!

Kale had the most fantastic Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Bergsteadt. It was a sad day when kindergarten ended but the kids were ready for the summer!

Memorial Day

We visited Nathan's grandfathers grave on Memorial Day and put flowers on the grave. It was fun to talk to them about him. This is their great grandfather Gaddis.

Kale's Kindergarten Program

All the Kindergarten students put on a program for the parents. They learned lots of songs and played a few instruments. They did a fantastic job!

2011 SPRING BREAK/EASTER

We drove down to Tucson Arizona to visit Carey and Chantel for Spring break and Easter. The weather was so great. It was so cold in Salt Lake and very hot in Arizona! The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins. They had an easter egg hunt, swam in the pool and played. The Easter bunny came on Easter and brought lots of treats but he wasn't thinking too good because most of what he brough was chocolate and it melted everywhere!! We also drove down to historic Tombstone and walked around and visited a cave. On the drive we also stopped at Zions nation park and hiked around a bit. It was a great trip!
