New Years Eve

December 2016
New Year Eve we had Grandma and Poppy come over for our annual buffet.  We went to a movie.  During the movie, the power went out so we got free tickets to attend another movie at another time.  We finished the movie and came home and did fireworks and also watched all the fireworks that were going off around us!

Savior of the World

December 2016
We went to the conference center and watched a musical called "Savior of the World'.  It depicted the life of Jesus Christ.  It had wonderful actors and music.  It was a really fantastic play to watch at Christmas time!

Christmas Break

December 2016
During Christmas break, we went to the Natural History Museum to check out all the exhibits.  Our neighbor, Wendell, volunteers there and he was able to get us free tickets.  It was fun to spend the day together as a family!

Christmas 2016

December 2016
Christmas landed on a Sunday this year.  What could be more appropriate to attend church on Christmas?! We woke-up early to Santa surprises and snow falling.  It was a picture perfect day.  After we opened presents, we look outside and decided we better shovel.  Soon after we shoveled, we got a text from the Bishop saying that church was cancelled because of the snow.  It did not stop all day.  We got a good two feet of snow. We were outside all day shoveling our snow and all the neighbors.  When the snow finally stopped, Grandma and Poppy came out and we opened more presents with them!

December

December 2016
We got a lot of snow this year.  It was fun to wake-up during Christmas break to more snow to play in.

Each year, we make different nativity.  This year, we made stain glass nativities by cutting out a picture of a nativity, we stuck it to contact paper then put pieces of tissue paper on it.  When you attach it to the window, the light shines through the colored tissue paper!

Decorating for Christmas

December 2016
This is such a wonderful time of the year.  It is so magical to put up decorations and the excitement that comes with it!

12 Days of Christmas

December 2016
This year, we did the 12 days of Christmas to two of our neighbors.  Gail and Mike Goodrich don't have any children or close relatives so we thought it would cheer them up for the holidays.  We also did the Stringfellow's, an older couple that have had a hard year of death and bad health.  Each night, we left a scripture that talked about Christ and one of the names he goes by.  Bread of life, King of Kings, living water, Savior, Prince of Peace.  We had fun leaving the scripture and token on the porch, knocking and running!

Pokeball

November 2016
This year at school, when the kids are seen doing good things, and getting good grades.  Max got one for helping others and averaging 100% on spelling tests!

Choir

Ellie was in the school choir this year.  She went once a week early in the morning before school started to practice.  She got a t-shirt and put on a Christmas concert with a bunch of funny Christmas songs!
