Scout Camp

May 2018
The scout leaders told the boys they were going to go on a really hard backpacking trip for scout camp this year.  They were really going to trick the boys and hike about a mile and end up at Lake Powell where two other leaders would have their boats all ready to have a fun time on the lake for a few days.  It ended up that the boys got lost.  They started hiking but never made it to Lake Powell.  They ran out of water so some of the scouts became dehydrated.  There was very little phone reception so the leaders with the boats tried to get a hold of them to find out where they were.  The boat leaders started hiking up from their way to find them.  One leader with the boys decided to call search and rescue because they had run out of water.  Though this trip ended up not what was expected, the boys had a few miracle and tender mercy experiences.  They were able to have prayers answered, Kale gathered the boys together to read scriptures to comfort them.  The boat leaders kneeled down and prayed to know what direction to go and found them, search and rescue came with lots of water, took the boys to a city park and let them spend the night there.  They did end up coming home early and planned another boating outing later in the summer!
