Little Sahara

June 2017

We packed up the car and headed to the Little Sahara sand dunes. We drove in a non air conditioned car and were hot the entire way!! We sang songs and were so happy!  We got there and we couldn't find camp site because it was so incredibly windy.  We met our friends The Frandsen's there.  We set up camp but as soon as the tent was up, it was full of sand.  We ate dinner and ate a ton of sand.  Kale sat around trying to catch the giant flies!! We hiked up to the top of the mountain by our site and watched the Sunset.  The next day, we went up to the sand dunes and played in the sand.  We also spent a lot of time turning big rocks over to find lizard, snakes and bugs.  We tie dyed some pretty cool shirts.  We then decided not to spend another night there! We were all so miserable with all the sand that was brought up from the wind! The ride home was not very fun!  Everyone was miserable, hot and full of sand!
