Nate's Grandma is almost in her 90's so the family decided to have a family reunion to get everyone together to see her. It was initially going to be here in Utah because she was living here but a few months ago she moved to Oklahoma because she has 2 daughters there that could take care of her. The family decided to change the location so she didn't have to travel back. We were excited to go because my kids and I have never met half the family and Nate hasn't seen his Uncles, Aunts and cousins for years. We decided to drive so packed up the car and drove through Wyoming, Colorado and Kansas then on the way back we took the old Route 66 through Texas and New Mexico then back into Utah. We had a lot of fun and saw some beautiful country. It was good to see and meet Nate's family and we hope to see them again soon!
On the road!

At a rest stop playing with bubbles.

Oklahoma City Memorial

Max with his Great Grandma Gaddis. I love this picture. I never knew my great grandmother's so I think is it neat my kids have been able to meet theirs!Visiting a Clysdale farm

Trading post outside Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

We stayed at a hotel each night and stayed where there was a pool so we could swim each night.

Just outside Amarillo, Texas

I had a big bin full of stuff to entertain the kids. We played with playdough, legos, blocks. I took crafts and little "surprises". We of course had the DVD player, lots of books and travel games. They did so good!
