On our way home, we stopped in the middle of the Nevada desert to see an old abandoned mining town called Calico.

Tide pools

That evening when the sun started to set, we went back to La Jolla to look at the tide pools. We saw all sorts of different creatures in the shallow water. We then bought Gelato and Macarons for dessert.
Beach

It was pretty overcast in the morning so we went to La Jolla to look at the seal lions sitting on the beach.
When the clouds cleared up, it ended up being the perfect day for the beach. It was so beautiful and the kids did not want to leave.
After we left the beach, we stopped and got some yummy tacos- fish and octopus.
