Our little angel has arrived...

He is finally here!! Max Lewis Swensen was born January 6, 2009 at 3:39 pm. He weighed 8 lb 13 oz and was 21 inches long.

I went in to be induced and it was so crowded. The nurse told me they almost didn't have me come in because there were so many other mother's delivering! I was relieved that I was there. It was a really good delivery and because it was so busy the nurse had me get my epidural pretty quick because there was only one anethesiologist there and he had a few C sections to do so I really didn't have much contraction pain before that! He was born posterior so had scrapes and bruises all over his head but other than that was just perfect. When they weighed him I had to asked them again if that was right because I thought for sure he would have been bigger. Ellie weighed 9 lb 13 oz and I thought for sure Max would be bigger than her! My other kids were so chunky and rolly polly and Max is not. He seems so much smaller. He took my side because he has these tiny chicken legs and long feet and toes. It is fun to have a little, skinny baby!!

Recovery has been pretty good. It really gets easier the more you have. I feel really good and hope to be moving around even more next week!

My other kids have really been good. Ellie can't get enough of him and has to be right by him all the time. We sit Max in his bouncy seat and Ellie puts a stool right by him and sings "I am a child of god" to him. She wants to hold him all the time and feed him! Kale has been really protective and let's everyone know he is his brother!

Tyra!!! He is adorable. Congratulations on your new little man!! Even though it is a little harder with 3, you can already tell what a big help the older 2 will be!! They make great little runners for this and for that! And most of the time they enjoy being special helpers! Congratulations again, I am happy for you!

I just love seeing newborn picutres! Looking at little Max got me very excited for my little guy to come...not soon enough, that's for sure! And all I know, he is NOT a skinny baby! Try having a 5 lb 12 ouncer and a 6 lb 2 ouncer! Now that's a skinny baby! He looks like a chunck to me! He is so cute that's for sure! What a fun and busy time I'm sure! The #3 scares me to death...you'll have to let me know how you do it! Good luck and let me know if you need anything!

Tyra- Hey, I'm being a blog stalker and got to your blog from Kays. Congratulations! We just had baby number 2 on December 4th. It seems like everyone is popping out little boys. He is so adorable as are your other two kiddies. Anyway, just thought I would say Hi!

Tyra- We're in Draper now, we hope this is our last stop for a while :). I got Rykers blessing outfit at a little store called Sunday's Child. It's up on 7200 S. and Highland in the same strip mall as the Wild Oats up there. They have lots of cute stuff, I went really simple with his outfit, it is so dang cute. You'll have to be careful though because you have a little girl, your husband might have to cut up your credit cards after you go there. Ha ha. They really do have cute stuff.
