Culinary School

April 2017

Ellie started taking culinary classes at the Salt Lake Culinary school.  She had to start with a knife safety class that taught her how to use a knife.  She cut up lots of veggies for a stir fry and fruit for a pie.  She was in heaven in the big industrial kitchen!

SNOW???

April 2017

We woke up to snow in April.  It was not a good start to spring.

Max

April 2017

Max is such a dream child!  He is always doing what he is supposed to so is awarded at school.  Pokemon was really big this year so when the kids were caught doing good things, they would get a poke ball.  Max got multiple ones this year. 

Max can entertain himself for hours with random things.  He found this big stick walking home from school, brought it home and played with it for a while!

Spring Break

April 2017

We had a great "Staycation" this year for spring break.  Nate took the week off and we did something fun each day.  We started the week off at a bird sanctuary.  It was a trail around a marsh that birds come to in the summer.  

We did some letter boxing.

We visited the the Great Salt Lake.  You forget how beautiful it is when you see this area all the time. Antelope Island was so pretty.  We visited a farm that the pioneers lived on on Antelope Island.  We saw a lot of buffalo and antelope.  We hiked up a mountain and look out over the Great Salt Lake.

We hiked up to Flag Rock behind Lagoon.  Before we got to Flag Rock, we found a cave that we explored.  

We then spent the night at a hotel that had a waterslide.  We at Vietnemse pho soup, played games, and swam.

It was a really fun week!
