Max

January 2016

Max is the funnest little boy!  He loves his hair just right.  The day he got a haircut, he sat not he couch looking at his hair, and combing it all different ways.  Each day, it has to be sitting flat and not be sticking up and on Sundays he likes it combed to the side!

Museum

January 2016

We had a year membership pass to Thanksgiving Point.  We had one more day to go before our pass expired so we took the drive down and spent the afternoon having fun at the curiosity museum!

Provo City Center Temple

January 2016

The inside of the Provo tabernacle burned completely about five years ago.  The prophet announced that the church was going to make it into a temple.  They completely redid the inside and modernized it but it still looks like how the pioneers had built it to look like.  It was so beautiful and was glad we took the drive down to see it.

Ice Skating

We have an ice rink at the Rec Center down the street.  We go swimming there all the time but have only been ice skating once.  We decided to go again.  It is amazing how fast Ellie and Max get the ice skating groove.  Kale is a little bit reserved but also caught on really well.  It was a lot of fun!

Sleeping out

When there is a break in school, the kids love to sleep out together.  I love that they do and sometimes I join them!

Rabbit Hunting

January 2016

Nate has loved to hunt most his life but since we have been married, it has changed things.  He has not been able to go out like he has wanted.  Kale is at a good age and is interested in hunting so we decided to drive out to the middle of nowhere and go jack rabbit hunting.

 Kale and Ellie went out with Nate to find jack rabbits.  Max wanted nothing to do with guns or hunting so him and I stayed back in the car and played uno, read books and ate cookies!

 They shot two rabbits but only killed one!

Max turns 7

January 2016

Max's day started at school where the kids sang to him and he passed out candy to them.

 Grandma and Poppy came over that night for cake and ice cream and presents.  A few days later, Max had his friends Jack and Josh over for cake and ice cream and we went to dartside for a nerf war.

Zoo

December 2015

We went to another free day at the zoo after Christmas.  It is alway so fun to go when it is cooler outside because the animals are so active.  We have never seen the lions so close before.  They were all walking around and right up by the glass.

New Years Eve

We made lots of food and watched movies and the countdown for New Year's Eve.  Everyone but Max and Dad made it to midnight! 

Sleep out

Whenever there is a break in school, the kids love to sleep together on the floor!

Christmas

December 2015

We had a wonderful Christmas this year.  The kids woke-up early to see what Santa had brought.  The highlight this year is they each got an iPod.  We spent the day setting them up so that the kids could watch movies, play games and listen to music.

Grandma and Poppy came over and we had a good meal and opened some fun presents from them.
