North Carolina

June 2018
Before Grandma and Poppy went on their mission, they wanted to go back east to see Katelyn and Carey and attend Cameron's high school graduation.  We decided to tag along with them.  The kids and I flew on a red eye-flew all night.  We had a lay over in Boston then flew into Charlotte.

Poppy rented a 15 passenger van and picked us up at the airport.
We went straight to Tiger World-a little zoo.  It was so fun to see so many animals that you don't see all the time.  We got to feed many of the animals and had birds coming right up to us.

We then drove to a little town called Lexington and bought some candy in a little candy store. We walked the streets of this tiny town.  They were having a car show.  Kale found an antique store where he was able to buy some old coins.

For dinner, we at some southern barbecue-hush puppies, pulled pork, and cole slaw.

That night, we were exhausted having been up for so long.  We all crashed in Katelyns RV.  Kale slept in the bunk, Max and I slept on the couch bed and Ellie slept with Grandma and Eden in the back of the RV.
Katelyn lives right by a lake so we the next day, we spent the day playing in the water.

Grandma bought ingredients to make slime.
Weston had a little 4 wheeler that the kids loved to ride around in.

 The kids tried to fish!

That night, we barbecued hamburgers/hot dogs and s'mores.

We took a walk when the sun was going down to see the fire flies and we encountered a ton of frogs.

The next day, we all loaded up in the 15 passenger van and drove to Virginia to visit Carey.
